'Reality' is my latest single release tied to the Album UNCOVER. As I have grown as an artist I have discovered a strong passion towards ensuring equal treatment is provided towards every individual/social group in society and in the event of an underrepresented issue I believe that the public should be made aware of how damaging a neglected matter may be to those associated with it.

 

My feelings towards expressing the severity of protesting over an underrepresented topic began once I became aware that my best friend was suffering long term abuse and neglect from her parents for as long as she could remember. This was when I recognised that as an artist I could use my music career to verbally and visually convey a protest about this issue, to not only give the victims a voice but also, to show how the topic of child abuse is drastically underrepresented compared to other social issues within society.

 

This topic matter has extreme danger associated with it, one being that those who are experiencing the suffering are almost forced to suffer quietly and this is purely based on the fact that not enough consideration and awareness has been provided on this potentially life damaging issue. A topic such as the one I have expressed above is clearly very close to my heart, so I hope that people treat this issue with the upmost respect and also, that they are respectful in terms of understanding my decision to create something that's unconventional in comparison to my other songs. 

 

By spreading awareness through the form of music and my artist profile, I hope it causes people to consider the severity of an issue like abuse/neglect and how (if content like this isn't designed to instigate the sheer levels of danger associated with ignoring such issues) may impact the child and generations going forward!
